I was in search of a phone for my mother. After a diligent search I narrowed down to 5 models and Nokia 225 was one of them. When I visited the showroom, 225 impressed both of us. It has a large screen and well spaced keypad and the form factor was easy to handle. The build quality is also good and the phone is sturdy. The 2 MP camera performed above expectations and the memory card slot was an added bonus. Photos are a delight to watch on its big screen. The torch light is very handy. The device is rightly priced at 3500 INR but 3000 INR would make it a sweet package. I got a transparent 'inbase' case which provided a better grip with its dotted sides. I was slightly disappointed with the S30 operating system. S40 would have been great. S30 lacks many customization options - unable to re-assign shortcut keys, change date format etc.. Anandh is my pseudonym. I chose it after having tried many other. I liked it because it sounded like an alter ego of my name and perfectly complimented it. Anandh being a very common name, it is very difficult to get an ID or URL registered with it. I also have to arrive at a good last name that complements Anandh as well as my name. It was more than a year since I zeroed on Anandh, but could not think of a well sounding second half. However, I did create a pseudonym starting with Anandh and had started writing a blog. But if you had read  my previous post you should have understood that I could not sustain it for the inevitable happened again !! Every time I tried registering with Anandh, with the hope some one would have released it, it ended up as a vain attempt. Vijayakrishna: வள்ளுவமும் வைணவமும் This is the first time I am coming across a commentary on few kurals from Sri Vaishnavam point of view. Everyone wants to appropriate Thiruvalluvar, especially those who believe in the St.Thomas myth. However, Thirukkural is strongly rooted in the Indic traditions - you are free to identify it with Vainavam, Saivam, Jainam (Jainism) and Baudhdham (Buddhism), though the antecedents are of either Thirukkural or its author Thiruvalluvar is largely unknown. I appreciate the good job by the blog author. I hope he brings out a lot more references and suitable interpretations in future.

As I start this blog, I have to admit that I am not new to blogging. I tried to blog earlier and all of them were unequivocally failed start-ups.I started blogging when blogging was a craze. Some of my friends were very good in blogging - humorous and analytical , and drew a good number of readers. Inspired by them, I too dreamed of flying in the clouds with accolades pouring in. There were indeed some accolades that read as - Hey nice blog; Good template; Interesting, keep posting. But then, these are not enough to get you going. Within a couple of posts, I hit writers block.. Lol. Still I managed to write few more crazy posts. And by the end of seven or eight (unpopular) posts, I was no more interested to write. I then googled - how to write good blogs and came across lot of tips - be regular, post on current happenings,  keep it short, add some pictures, tag or labels, SEO, blah blah blah....
